Identity

Negatively charged paint particles cling to a positively charged chassis.  It does this to offer an amalgam of site and sound.  That's its job.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Things to think about.  If you were a new 599GTB (or viewed yourself as such) would you mind being the paint? Would you prefer to be the engine, the body, the fine Italian leather?  Why or why not?

You'll find, very common in fact, that the non-identity will, with the determination of a politician running for public office exert every effort to drag down or discredit anything and everything in its path.

Not because the non-identity is useless, vile,  or otherwise viewed in a poor light, but because the non-identity doesn't accept its station.  What's more?  Maybe the non-identity is miserable in its own existence.

Can you imagine the struggle between the finish and the engine if they didn't do their respective duties effectively?  You're right.  The struggle within this group of parts would slowly be torn apart.  You're right again.  Simply because the engine wanted top billing there's no paint on the car?!

If you were the paint wouldn't that be a pretty nice place to be?  Imagine the comments.  "Look at how beautiful that color is."  "Wow, I've never seen a blue so deep."

The only way for the non-identity to feel better is by systematically tearing those around it down.

Remember.  Although the paint may want to be the main draw there is a clear understanding. This is the role it accepted.  This the role that was presented when it said "I do" to the marriage of finish and carriage.

The paint doesn't besmirch or discredit.  It just is...
